BREAD OF LIFE MEALS
The Bread of Life will now be distributing full meal kits to go at Studio 276 / Cedar Mountain Moonshine in Cedar Mountain. The meals are free to anyone, and no questions will be asked. We have two sizes depending on your needs: small kits for a minimum of 2 individuals and large kits for a minimum of 4 individuals. The meal kits include pre-cooked protein, frozen and canned veggies, and uncooked starch. If anyone needs a meal, we are here for the community. The next distribution will be March 6th from 2:30 p.m. – 4 p.m. and the first Thursday of each month thereafter.
CEDAR MOUNTAIN CANTEEN by Kim Coram
Did you know the Cedar Mountain Canteen gives away free food every day we are open?
We have fed people every day we are open for over 3 years. We have given away thousands of meals.
You can get beans and rice and sometimes extra treats like canned goods and bags of pasta and fresh produce (when we get a donation from a food pantry.)
Monday evening is our community potluck night and there is always a bounty of food to share. We even have mason jars on hands most time if you want to take some potluck food home.
In the summer our hours extend so that we are the only place open at times in the evening after 8 pm. We have shared food with many who are looking for food at that hour.
Please never go hungry! We will always feed you for free, no questions asked. You don’t have to spend a dime to receive the food and everyone is welcome!

AFRO-LATIN JAZZ WORKSHOP AND PERFORMANCE
On Saturday, March 8th, the Cedar Mountain Canteen is hosting Grupo los Santos, a NYC-based funky, rootsy, weirdly eclectic jam-band which pulls equally from the traditions of jazz, rock, funk, Afro-Cuban, Afro-Brazilian, and whatever else they come across. A free workshop will be conducted by the group from 4 - 5:30 pm. All musicians and tap dancers are welcome. At 6:30 pm the group will perform for the public. All are welcome and the show is free (it is being sponsored by members of our community.) An RSVP is appreciated if you would like to attend the workshop and/or performance. Email cedarmountaincanteenmusic@gmail.com. Thank you! Kim Cor
CEDAR MOUNTAIN FIRE/RESCUE ANNUAL PANCAKE FUNDRAISER
Mark you calendars for Saturday March 10th for the best pancake breakfast you’ll find anywhere and service with a smile of gratitude. Serving starts at 8am and lasts until 11 am. Donations will be used for the purchase of Fire/Rescue equipment. CMFR.org
CEDAR MOUNTAIN COMMUNITY CENTER PROGRESS
Things are progressing on the renovation of the center but much still needs to be done. We are still looking at reopening the 1st week of April and the second Tuesday each month after that. Our first meeting and Potluck is scheduled for Tuesday April 8th unless otherwise notified.
AROUND THE HOUSE by Linda Packer Young
I mentioned getting a new printer last week and have yet been able to get it to work. I thought I had contacted the help line at HP but after several minutes realized it was a scam and shut them down. You really have to read the web address carefully to avoid getting hooked up with crooks.
I tried to return the printer I got in December through Walmart but had difficulties with that. I received a return acceptance but it was not accepted at UPS or Walmart. Without going into details, one of the responses was that it couldn’t be returned after 30 days and then I received a notice that they were refunding my money and I didn’t want the printer back. The next day I got another message that it couldn’t be returned or refunded. I wonder if the help desk people compare notes. At present I have 3 printers I can’t use. Watching for that refund.
